Tennessee nonprofits are navigating a donor landscape where attention is scarce and traditional appeals are often overlooked. To secure the resources your mission requires, you must shift from simple solicitation to strategic engagement. Based on new research by the National Council of Nonprofits and Tennessee Nonprofit Network, we have identified the specific communication drivers that inspire Tennesseans to give and remain committed to a cause. This workshop is part of Tennessee Nonprofit Network’s statewide initiative and is one of three regional sessions offered in 2026. Attendees will receive a comprehensive toolkit designed to elevate their donor outreach and public presence.

This training equips you with the framework to turn public awareness into measurable support. Participants will move beyond the "newsletter" mindset to learn how to create a narrative that positions their organization as a vital community asset, using messaging pillars that are proven to build long-term donor loyalty.

Note for Experienced Professionals: While this session covers essential communication pillars, it introduces advanced behavioral insights and new regional data intended to provide veteran development and marketing staff with fresh strategies. This training is ideal for Development Directors, Executive Directors, Marketing Coordinators, and Board Members involved in fundraising.

Breakfast and lunch will be served.

Thanks to our sponsors, we’re able to provide this training to TNN members with only a $15 materials fee in Nashville and Memphis. Because we were unable to secure sponsorship in East Tennessee, we are charging a nominal fee of $40 for our East Tennessee workshops. (That's still 90% off!)

Member Fee $15 | Non-Member Fee: $75
